MBBS Admission MEGHALAYA Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of province MBBS admission 2024 are conditions that each one has to fulfil for Applicants to be considered for admission. In compliance of the Order of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India dated 23/03/2012 passed in I.A No. 16/2012 in Civil Appeal No. 1944 of 1993 – Anand S.Biji Vs State of Kerala & Others & vide order dated 09/5/2017 passed in Writ Petition(c ) No.267 of 2017 –Dar-Us-Slam Educational Trust & Ors Vs MCI & Ors. Directorate General of health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has been entrusted with the responsibility to hold on-line Counselling for 15% AIQ seats for UG courses , 50% AIQ seats for PG courses & 100% seats in Super-specialty courses (DM/Mch) , as per various Gazette notification of NMC, various Court orders & notifications of MoHFW.

UG Counselling:

15% All India Quota seats of all states including Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir, this year onwards. (UT of J&K will also contribute their 50% broad specialty Medical/ Dental seats for the All India Quota counselling conducted by MCC of DGHS).

100% seats (All India Quota seats + Institutional Quota seats) of Central Universities (Aligarh Muslim University/ Banaras Hindu University/ University of Delhi/ Central Institutes as per eligibility conditions as provided by the respective college/institute.
100% seats of Deemed Universities.
50% AIQ P.G seats of colleges under Employee State Insurance Corporation (wards of ESIC insured persons).
Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions (only Registration part).

Super Specialty Counselling

The MCC has been entrusted with the responsibility to conduct counselling for 100% seats of the contributing states, for the course of DM/Mch across country for State/ Private College & Deemed Universities by the Directorate General of Health Services, MoHFW, except INI (Institute of National Importance) institutes.

The above fees are subject to revision at the discretion of the Government of India and candidates are required to pay such annual fees as may be prescribed by the Government of India from time to time.
The annual fees during the second and subsequent years will be collected from 1st August to 14th August every year. An extension of 15 days will be given beyond the 14th August to pay the fees with penalty. In case a student fails to remit the tuition fees on or before the closure of the last date prescribed without proper prior permission, his/her name will be struck off from the rolls and attendance will not be given.
Caution deposit will be released only after the receipt of the “No Due Certificate” on completion of the duration of course. No security will be released to those candidates who do not join or discontinue the course midway

15% All India Quota Cutoff: The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of MCC releases the Meghalaya All India Quota MBBS cutoff college-wise and category-wise in online mode for the students selected under 15% All India Quota seats.

85% State Quota Cutoff: North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong will be regulatory body releases the Meghalaya State Quota MBBS Cutoff college-wise, category-wise in online mode for the students selected under 85% State Quota Seats.

For Private Medical Colleges: All Private Medical Colleges have three types of Cutoffs

50% State Quota Cutoff: North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong will be regulatory body releases the Meghalaya MBBS State Quota Cutoff college-wise, category-wise in online mode for the students selected under 50% State Quota Seats.

35% Management Quota Cutoff: The North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong will be regulatory body releases the Meghalaya MBBS Management Quota Cutoff college-wise, category-wise in online mode for the students selected under 35% Management Quota Seats.

15% NRI Quota Cutoff: North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong will be regulatory body releases the Meghalaya MBBS NRI Quota Cutoff college-wise, category-wise in online mode for the students selected under 15% NRI Quota Seats.
